Je identificeert de behoeften van verschillende belanghebbenden voor het gebruik van ondergrondgegevens. Hierbij gaat het vaak om interne of externe experts of overheden, maar soms ook om commerciële partijen. Voor de ontwikkeling en het onderhoud van de BRO-standaarden ontwikkel je (conceptuele) informatiemodellen en catalogi. Verder ontwikkel je informatiemodellen voor specifieke toepassingen van de Geologische Dienst. Op basis van jouw schema's, analyses en bouwstenen gaan ontwikkelteams (devops) aan de slag met het bouwen van applicaties, databases en webservices. Je werkt ook nauw samen met collega's om de data te migreren waarvoor je de analyses en infomatiemodellen hebt ontwikkeld.

In je projecten werk je vaak samen met een collega, bijvoorbeeld een datamanager of inhoudsdeskundige. Je thuisbasis is ons Analyseteam binnen de onderzoeksgroep GeoData & Informatiemanagement. Je werkt ook samen met externe collega's aan de ontwikkeling en het onderhoud van de BRO-standaarden.

De collega's zijn een leuke mix van hoogopgeleide experts in ICT en geowetenschappen. Er is een prettige, ontspannen en ondersteunende werksfeer. Kennis delen is heel belangrijk voor ons en jouw ideeën zijn van harte welkom!

Het werken met complexe standaarden, gegevenssets en veel verschillende belanghebbenden geeft je energie. Dankzij je goed ontwikkelde communicatieve en analytische vaardigheden weet je informatiemodellen en standaarden in kaart te brengen en te beschrijven. Ontwikkelaars kunnen hiermee aan de slag en maken de vertaalslag voor de IT-ontwikkelteams. Op deze manier draag je bij aan de ontwikkeling van de BRO-standaarden. Bovendien kun je ondersteunen bij de migratie en harmonisatie van datasets, zodat eindgebruikers deze data kunnen gebruiken in hun onderzoeks- en werkprocessen. Agile werken, zowel met je collega's als met onze partners, heeft voor jou geen geheimen.

 

Functievereisten:

-          Een masterdiploma, met kennis van bedrijfsinformatica en een geowetenschappelijke achtergrond, bijvoorbeeld in geologie, geografie of hydrologie.

-          Relevante werkervaring op het gebied van geodata en geo-ICT.

-          Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal is een pré, vanwege het internationale karakter van het bedrijf en de stakeholders waarmee je te maken kunt krijgen.

-          Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal is een vereiste voor het werken aan BRO-standaarden.


Vereiste ervaring:

-          Conceptuele informatiemodellen opstellen.

Your role

We are currently looking for a Quantum System Engineer located in Delft together with our client in the quantum research industry.
Your role
Are you looking for a challenging project, at the boundary between science and engineering? Are you interested in Quantum Technology? Our client is active on that front and is looking to expand its team of quantum engineers. You will be working in the Quantum Technology department focussing on research and development of quantum computing and quantum internet. Our client addresses scientific challenges as well as engineering issues in a joint centre of know-how with industrial partners.
Our mission is to apply scientific knowledge and technology into higher TRL (Technology Readiness Level) applications, designing and building systems that leverage on quantum properties. Depending on the qubit technology and the applications, these systems could consist of optical setups (based on color centers) or electronic systems (e.g. computing stacks). As a Quantum System Engineer, you will be working toward designing and prototyping these systems, bridging the gap between university research and commercial applications, together with a team consisting of systems engineers and experts in the different required fields (optical, microwave electronic, software…). You will collaborate with the team to learn how the system functions and understand how to connect the different expertise’s to bring the system to a higher TRL. This is an entry level position, so you will not be expected to fulfill this from day one but to grow into that direction.
Your profile
You will use your Systems Engineering skills to perform project and system breakdown, estimating and scheduling engineering costs and planning. You will be considered at the main technical point of contact for the systems you develop but you will not be on your own. You will work with a team of content experts and will exchange with other Systems Engineer to share your experience and further develop your competencies, using the INCOSE systems engineering competencies as a framework.
In addition to the above mentioned technical proficiency, this role requests for the following skills; responsible, accurate and organized way of working, result-driven, enthusiastic, flexible in your way of thinking, good interpersonal skills and able to work productively in a team.
What do you need to succeed?

Your role
At S[&]T we push technological boundaries with the aim of staying in the forefront of innovative, state-of-the-art applications. Together with our international customers we utilize novel techniques and platforms to make big data image analytics more scalable and automated. Several of our projects involve intelligent processing of imaging payload data from spaceborne and airborne platforms, pushing embedded systems to their limit.
In November 2018 we successfully became the first in the world to do image processing on data from a miniaturized hyperspectral imager onboard a small satellite in orbit. This ground-breaking achievement enables an industry shift towards having intelligent satellites capable of offering users on the ground derived analytics without relying on heavy and time-consuming ground segment systems. We have for several years been working closely with the forest industry to innovate their resource management tools, by using various machine learning techniques for retrieving more efficient and accurate information out of very large image datasets. As a Control Engineer, you are an expert within the eigenfrequencies and eigenmodes of mechanical structures and have the know-how to process modal analyses to predict dynamic behavior. You are capable of can deriving multi-dimensional lumped-mass models of mechanical systems and can relate these to FEM and experimental results and can validate dynamic performance in practice.

Being familiar with control engineering terminology and knowing the basics of linear control theory and controller synthesis, both in the classical and mathematical sense, is definitely important, as you are able to think in the frequency domain and have the know-how to interpret Bode diagrams and Nyquist plots, relating these to the mechanical properties of the system.

You know how to loop-shaping techniques, assess the resulting closed-loop behavior of the whole system for both models and real systems and recognize the dynamic error budgeting techniques.

It is also preferable that you have some experience with non-linear dynamics, and that you can formulate and analyze specific nonlinearities in mechanical systems or new system concepts.
