About this job

We are currently looking for a Scientific Programmer Performance Engineer to join the team in Eindhoven.

As a Scientific Programmer, you will join a team dedicated to advancing systems engineering capabilities within the high-tech industry. You’ll help elevate the way complex software-intensive systems are designed and developed, building on insights generated through collaborative research with leading organizations in the semiconductor, imaging, medical technology, defense, and logistics automation sectors.

You’ll be part of a strategic research team exploring next-generation capabilities for software-intensive high-tech systems and applications. These teams often work closely with partners on-site, enabling you to engage directly with real industrial challenges. Your focus will be on systems engineering for complex and evolving high-tech environments, particularly around system performance. The mission: bringing state-of-the-art methodologies into industrial practice and supporting organizations in meeting their most pressing engineering needs.

Current research activities span various aspects of system performance. One example involves defining a future-proof execution architecture for a distributed high-tech system. This work includes automatically deriving models from operational machine data, then using these models to evaluate how changes in hardware, software, and deployment strategies influence system performance and cost. You’ll contribute to research, build proof-of-concepts, shape scenario-based solutions, demonstrate business value, and help transition results into real-world industrial settings.
