We are currently looking for a RF & Microwave IC Designer to join the team in The Hague.

To support the continuity and growth of cutting-edge radar programs, we are looking for two experienced RF & Microwave IC Designers to strengthen our client's Radar Technology department.

In this role, you will work on state-of-the-art RF and microwave ICs used in advanced radar systems within the defense domain. You’ll contribute independently to the design, simulation, layout, and tape-out preparation of high-performance integrated circuits, collaborating closely with fellow IC designers and radar system specialists.

RF & Microwave IC Designer

Main responsibilities 

This is an ideal opportunity for engineers with a strong background in analog electronics, silicon technologies, BiCMOS, and/or III-V, who enjoy working at the intersection of circuit design and real-world system applications


You will contribute to one of the following (based on expertise):

(Bi)CMOS RF/Microwave IC Design

  • Design and layout of RF/microwave IC components in (Bi)CMOS semiconductor technology
  • Prepare designs for chip integration and tape-out
  • Clearly document design choices, trade-offs, and achieved results

III-V RF/Microwave IC Design

  • Design and layout of RF/microwave IC components in III-V semiconductor technology
  • Prepare designs for chip integration and tape-out
  • Clearly document design choices, trade-offs, and achieved results

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and characterize RF and microwave IC components in (Bi)CMOS or III-V technologies
  • Perform circuit-level and EM simulations
  • Optimize IC layouts for performance, robustness, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate closely with other IC designers and radar system specialists
  • Translate system-level requirements into well-founded IC design choices
  • Contribute to high-impact radar applications in the defense domain


Requirements

You  Work on real radar systems, not just simulations. 

    • HBO, WO Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in RF/Microwave IC design
    • Strong background in analog electronics and silicon technologies
    • Experience with (Bi)CMOS and/or III–V semiconductor technologies
    • Proven involvement in IC tape-outs
    • Hands-on experience with ADS and/or Cadence


Additional requirements

    • Availability to work at least 3 days per week on-site in The Hague
    • Willingness to work in the defense domain (VGB screening required)
    • Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus)
