We are currently looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to join the team in Heerle.
As a Product Assurance Engineer, you will be ensuring that all deliverables and supporting processes conform to customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. The Product Assurance Engineer will collaborate closely with the dedicated Core Team, which includes the Project Lead, Product Assurance, and System Engineer. In both preliminary and subsequent phases, the Product Assurance Engineer will understand customer requirements and translate them to the organization, supporting various dedicated analyses.

Main responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure adherence to Product Assurance requirements during all project phases: design, development, production, and testing.
- Conduct reliability and safety assessments.
- Monitor and address deviations, waivers, part approvals, non-conformities, and both corrective and preventive measures.
- Detect and resolve issues that could jeopardize product quality and safety.
- Take part in project meetings and audits.
- Assess and validate suppliers of products and services; perform independent audits as necessary.
- Contribute to tenders by providing insights into quality organization and processes.
- Draft Statements of Compliance (SoC) related to Product Assurance requirements.
- Schedule, manage, and finalize inspection points and review meetings with clients.
- Assemble data packages to aid in customer reviews.
- Supervise the materials and processes applied to the products.
- Ensure configuration management and product-level traceability.
- Provide monthly reports on product assurance aspects to the Project Lead as part of the Project-specific Progress Report.
Requirements
- Passion for the space industry, technology, and quality assurance.
- Ability to perform and think at a minimum BSc level, ideally with an Engineering background.
- Practical, self-assured, detail-oriented, process-focused, adaptable, resilient under stress, and able to see the broader picture.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, Outlook).
- Possession of a driving license and readiness to travel.
- Proficiency in technical English (C2 level) and intermediate Dutch (B1 level).
Highly Valued/Desired Skills:
- Prior experience in the spaceflight industry, especially in satellite equipment supply.
- Understanding of the current technological state of spaceflight components and systems.
