Software Specialist - Qubit Control 

Main responsibilities  

  • Work with quantum computing devices across various platforms
  • Conduct or automate low-noise DC and RF measurements in dilution refrigerators
  • Measure the characteristics of qubits to optimize their performance for quantum applications
  • Work with a range of device types, particularly those based on semiconductors and superconductors
  • Collaborate with teams focused on different components of quantum computing, including Low-level control software and Chip fabrication
  • Aim to improve reliability, stability, and predictability within the quantum computer infrastructure


  • MSc or PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering, with an emphasis on quantum research desired
  • 3+ years of experience in setting up and performing experiments (from calibration to qubit gate operations) on quantum computing devices, preferably on spin qubits
  • Experience with software development to interface with software teams
  • Proficiency in programming with Python for experiments in the lab
  • Cryogenic experience and understanding of cryogenic electronics is a pre
  • Demonstrate a responsible, accurate, and organised approach to tasks
  • Show a proactive attitude and strong social skills
  • Focus on achieving results and meeting goals
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration
  • Maintain high productivity while working in a team environment
