PA/QA Engineer

Main responsibilities 


  • Define and implement tailored product and quality assurance plans, including verification and validation activities, for space projects.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant space industry standards (e.g., ECSS) across all project phases.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product quality and reliability through effective risk management strategies.

  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections, and reviews to verify adherence to quality procedures and product specifications.

  • Lead the analysis and resolution of non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented, verified, and documented.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain consistent quality standards across the supply chain.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed PA/QA documentation, including quality reports, audits, and product release certificates.

  • Support project managers and engineering teams by integrating PA/QA best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Manage documentation control and configuration management for all product documentation.

  • Facilitate communication and cooperation across multidisciplinary teams and with external development partners to achieve project goals. 


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • At least 5 years of experience in product and quality assurance.

  • Proven experience with space projects and familiarity with ECSS standards.

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and practices within the space domain.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach.

  • Experience in non-conformance management, corrective action implementation, and quality assurance processes for space projects.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and present information clearly to stakeholders.

  • Experience in supply chain quality assurance and working with subcontractors is an asset.

  • Knowledge of risk management tools such as FMEA or Root Cause Analysis is a plus.

  • Certifications or training in ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards is desirable.

  • Eligibility to work in the EU.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
