We are currently looking for an AIT Engineer to join the team in Rotterdam.

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Assembly, Integration & Test Engineer to work in the Production Operations department, where you will make sure that all (sub)modules are integrated in the right way to create high performing metrology machine for our clients.

AIT Engineer

Main responsibilities 

Within the System Integration team (~15 colleagues), you will work on semiconductor metrology systems in an ISO 5 clean room and laboratories. You will have the opportunity to work in a young and energetic team within a growing, complex, and high-tech production company. 

  • You will be responsible for solving potential problems that could come up during the System Integration phase
  • You will support the early project phases in reviewing and designing documentation on AIT aspects and advising optimization. You will initiate improvements for quality and/or ease of assembly
  • You will prepare the system for the integration of new subsystems and parts.
  • You will develop and maintain the installation and test procedures, as well as carry out the installation and integration of subsystems into the complete machine
  • You will execute, test and calibrate procedures for (sub)systems
  • You will decommission and prepare for shipments
  • You will document the progress of the assembly and test plans
  • You will closely collaborate with the Supplier Account Team to support supplier assembly and functional testing, assisting them when necessary


  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in hands-on (Mechanical or Mechatronics) AIT activities on highly complex systems, such as semiconductor equipment, satellites, astronomy equipment or flight simulators
  • You are proactive. Have a problem-solving and hands-on mindset
  • You are flexible and capable of working in a high-tech environment
  • You are willing to spend periods abroad during system installation at the customer site
  • You like customer contact for 1st and 2nd line support
  • Fluency, both written and spoken, in English
