As a Computer Vision Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research on a diversity of projects, which the finality will be to constant development and improvement of new technology which applicability concerns to government, business, and industry. Your focus is on developing and validating innovative computer vision algorithms and implementing them in software products and embedded systems (edge computing).

    You will be supported by a fantastic group of people in the department who, besides coming from different backgrounds and having diverse expertise, are united in the common goal to make the world a safer and better place for everyone. From large to smaller projects, you will have the chance to develop yourself and embrace opportunities in the future, which means that you have to be communicative, share your knowledge and conclusions with the team, be a true team player, an entrepreneur, and also have a client-facing mentality, making sure that their requirements are taken into consideration.

 • Complete scientific education (PhD) in the fields of Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence

• Affinity with defense and security

• Experience with computer vision

• Expertise in algorithm development

• Experience working with Python, MATLAB, and/or C++

• Experience in optimizing algorithms for real-time processing, knowledge of architectures and data pipelines, embedded systems, and camera systems (electro-optical) is a plus

• Fluent in English and Dutch both written and spoken (Mandatory)
