About this job

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Assurance Engineer to join the team in Delft.

The Space Systems Engineering team develops advanced opto-mechatronic instruments and systems for space missions, ground-based astronomy, and scientific research. These systems operate at the edge of what is technically possible, requiring strong coordination across disciplines such as optics, mechatronics, manufacturing, and testing.

Within this environment, Product & Quality Assurance (PA/QA) is essential to ensuring that all instruments and subsystems meet their mission objectives safely, reliably, and consistently. As projects in the LaserSatcom domain continue to grow, the team is expanding its efforts on the development and integration of supporting electronics for space applications.

As a Senior Product Assurance Engineer, you will work on complex and often long-running development programs focused on delivering high-performance opto-mechatronic instruments. You will collaborate closely with partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and international research institutes within the European space ecosystem.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a Product Assurance environment.
  • Knowledge of instruments for larger satellite systems and familiarity with smaller satellite platforms.
  • Strong understanding of PA/QA management principles.
  • Preferably experience with ISO-9001, the space domain, and ECSS standards.
  • Preferably technical knowledge of opto-mechanical instrumentation.
  • Preferably experience with the qualification of electronics and electronic components for use in space.
  • Strong technical insight combined with the ability to provide guidance within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A structured, critical, accurate working style, with the desire to collaborate closely with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken Dutch and English. Dutch is preferred but not mandatory.
