We are currently looking for a Quantum Diamond Device Engineer to join the team in Delft.

As a Quantum Diamond Device Engineer, you will be joining a small team working on the development of diamond-based quantum devices. Your focus will be the overall development of upcoming diamond devices, which will include coordinating their manufacturing and increasing their robustness.

Quantum Diamond Device Engineer 

Main Responsibilities 


You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams and interacting mainly with design and measurement engineers, overseeing developing new recipes and improving existing ones, identify issues in the process and think about creative ways to improve them. Occasionally you may attend scientific conferences related with this field, and will enjoy plenty of opportunities to learn more about the quantum diamond-devices field. 

 

Requirements


  • Completed HBO in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Knowledge of Electron Beam Lithography, Wet Bench Processing, Thin Film Deposition (Sputtering, ALD, Evaporation), Characterization (AFM, SEM, EDX), reactive Ion Etching, and/or Focused Ion Beam Milling and Deposition
  • Prior experience with Quantum Devices, especially with Nitrogen-vacancies based ones, will be a distinction factor
  • Experience with Optics and Microwaves is a plus
  • Experience with Unconventional Subtracts (Diamond, 3D) is a good to have
  • Experience mentoring and coordinating team work
  • Experience in developing and improving recipes 
  • Excellent fluency in English, both written and spoken
