We are currently looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to join the team in Leiden.

Do you want to work as a PA Engineer within the space sector? As a PA Engineer, you will be involved in supporting the series production or solar arrays and launcher products. You will monitor the quality on the supply base, tracking quality metrics as well as proposing and executing quality improvements for the series production.

Product Assurance Engineer

Main responsibilities 


  • You create and define the Product Assurance plan for the project.
  • You serve as main contact for external stakeholders on all quality-related matters.
  • You oversee compliance with applicable PA requirements during the project, covering design, qualification, manufacturing, and testing of the final product.
  • You manage and maintain the configuration baseline and ensure that all project and product documentation is complete and accurate.
  • You make sure suppliers and subcontractors follow the necessary quality requirements and carry out reviews to verify that the items produced and tested meet those standards.
  • You oversee inspections and tests of the product, both internally and at supplier and customer sites, to confirm quality standards are achieved.
  • You ensure all deviations from requirements are well-documented, reviewed, and approved; you lead boards for evaluating deviations and changes and follow up on resulting actions.
  • Together with your team, you compile End Item Data Packs and ensure all non-conformance reports are resolved with effective corrective and preventive measures.
  • You take on broad goals with set deadlines, while independently defining tasks and priorities for your team.
  • You are able to work autonomously.
  • You engage and coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve issues and prepare project deliverables and documentation.
  • You evaluate PA requirements during the proposal phase.
  • You ensure adherence to company processes and best practices, while also recognizing areas for improvement in methods, tools, and procedures.
  • You make sure all activities are completed within time and budget constraints, meeting the quality expectations of the customer.

 


Requirements


  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or Software Engineering).
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the Quality domain. More than 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • You have a background in the Aerospace domain.
  • You are process-oriented.
  • Preferably, you have experience in a series production environment.
  • You can work both independently and in a team.
  • You are proficient in both Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (GMail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).​​
  • You have very strong communication skills, and are not afraid to speak up. While English is a must, speaking Dutch is an advantage.
