About this job

We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer GDN to join the team in Utrecht.

From home and from the office in Utrecht, you will be involved in continuously keeping the GDN infrastructure in order and improving it. What's going on during the week? The daily stand-up with your team to discuss the state of affairs. And of course, picking up tasks in Jira. In this way, you analyze incidents that you then resolve decisively and in order of urgency. You also clearly record what you have done so that others can easily find it. Through system and application management, you continuously monitor the performance and availability of the infrastructure, and particularly the basic layers, such as the network, firewalls, and storage systems. In addition, in cooperation with our suppliers, you take care of the necessary upgrades. Are there various projects happening, for example around complex issues such as research into Azure links? Then you participate in the project team. And do the scrum or DevOps teams working on the infrastructure for creating and hosting various software products run into bottlenecks? Then you jump in.

Of course, you don't do all this alone. Together with nine colleagues, you will form the Platform Team: a driven team within the GeoIT department. Together, you are responsible for managing, maintaining, monitoring, and improving the own GDN infrastructure. Thanks to the different disciplines in the team, including a database specialist, a security expert, infrastructure specialists and an architect, you learn a lot from each other. You help each other where necessary. So, do you want to work in a fun team on complex technical challenges and make an impact on the world of tomorrow? Then this is the job for you!
