About this job

We are currently looking for a PA/QA Engineer to join the team in the Dwingeloo Area.

As a PA/QA Engineer you will be involved in the development of advanced optomechanical subsystems and scientific instrumentation for one of the most significant optical astronomy projects currently underway: a next-generation mid-infrared imager and spectrograph designed for operation on the world’s largest optical telescope.

The position involves contributing to a technologically complex, internationally coordinated project, where responsibility centers around ensuring the integrity of processes during design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing (MAIT) phases. Most technical development activities are carried out in the Netherlands, in collaboration with international partners. The role is based in Dwingeloo, with occasional travel to Leiden and project partners across Europe.

The position is available through at least September 2026, with the possibility of extension.
