We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Delft.
As a mechanical engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues in developing and bringing to life mechatronic and opto-mechatronic prototypes and instruments for industries such as aerospace, semiconductor, and manufacturing.

Main responsibilities
Your expertise in fine mechanics, materials, statically determined construction, and manufacturability complements the optical and mechatronic concepts of your team members. You possess the ability to translate conceptual designs into detailed 3D-CAD designs along with corresponding 2D drawing packages. Validation through FEM analysis or manual calculations, as well as generating Bill of Materials, are integral parts of your process.
Operating within a structured and independent team environment, often juggling multiple projects simultaneously, you thrive on creatively tackling technically challenging projects. Your curiosity drives you to stay on top of the latest developments in the field, ensuring you're well-equipped to contribute effectively to the innovative projects that you will be a part of.
Requirements
- You have a BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or similar
- Minimum 1-3 years of working experience (junior) or 3-8 years (medior) in the high-tech industry
- Analytical thinking skills and the ability to work in a structured manner
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software; preferably NX and Teamcenter
- Knowledge of static structures (construction principles) and design of fine mechanical structures
- Familiarity with shape and plate tolerances and functional measurement
- Some basic knowledge of measurement and control technology, optics and dynamics is a plus
- You are creative, independent, driven, communicative, proactive and a team player
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
