Science & Technology are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Programmer to join our highly talented team of engineers. This project is supporting an international geo-data company who are the market leaders in what they do. If you enjoy working on projects where you have the freedom to explore new solutions and solve complex challenges this is the perfect environment. With this project you will be programming robotic operated vehicles that can preform several challenging tasks underwater!

Your Role

You will work closely in a team of high-skilled embedded software engineers who focus on the development of ROS based control software and positioning products including WiFi meshing techniques. These applications are used in their state-of-the-art GNSS positioning equipment and robotic underwater vehicles.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has experience working with C++14 or C++17, experience working in a TDD (Test Driven Development) environment and with CI (Continuous Integration), a strong educational background (bachelors or masters degree and knowledge of either Linux distributions or Yocto. If you have experience with either ROS or ROS2 this would be a massive advantage, however, this is not a requirement for the position.
