Wij zijn momenteel op zoek naar een (freelance) DevOps Engineer om het team in Den Helder te versterken.

Wil jij bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van innovatieve softwareoplossingen met directe impact op high-tech systemen? Binnen een multidisciplinair ontwikkelteam werk je aan een platform dat de integratie en inzet van onbemande systemen en hun componenten efficiënter en effectiever maakt.

Als DevOps Engineer Embedded Systems speel je een sleutelrol in het opzetten, onderhouden en uitbreiden van de CI/CD-infrastructuur die de basis vormt voor betrouwbare softwareontwikkeling en -testen, zowel in een fysieke als gesimuleerde omgeving. Je werkt met moderne technologieën en hardwareplatforms (zoals NVIDIA Jetson) en helpt mee de stap te zetten van ontwikkelomgeving naar operationeel inzetbare systemen.

De opdracht heeft een duur van 11 maanden, met een start zo snel mogelijk. De functie staat open voor zowel freelancers (ZZP’ers) als professionals die via een tijdelijke aanstelling willen werken. Je werkt 36 uur per week, minimaal drie dagen op locatie in Den Helder, met de mogelijkheid om deels offsite te werken. De startdatum is afhankelijk van een succesvolle veiligheidsscreening (VGB Niveau B).

DevOps Engineer 

Main responsibilities 

  • Simulatieomgeving opzetten: Ontwerpen en realiseren van een software-simulatieomgeving met bestaande tools om geautomatiseerd testen van embedded software mogelijk te maken.
  • CI/CD-pijplijnen: Opzetten en onderhouden van CI/CD-pijplijnen voor automatische build-, test- en deploytaken, inclusief integratie van simulaties.
  • Software-distributie: Inrichten en beheren van een package repository (zoals een APT-server) voor de distributie van software naar embedded doelhardware.
  • Releasebeheer: Ontwikkelen van een release-pipeline die softwareversies automatisch voorziet van de juiste provisioning voor uitrol op hardwareplatforms.
  • Afstemming met stakeholders: Actief ophalen van wensen en behoeften bij ontwikkelaars, testers en andere betrokkenen binnen het team.
  • Herbruikbaarheid en schaalbaarheid: Zorgen voor een DevOps-infrastructuur die ook door andere teams of projecten kan worden hergebruikt of opgeschaald.
  • Beheer en optimalisatie: Continu verbeteren en onderhouden van bestaande CI/CD-infrastructuren (o.a. gebaseerd op Gitea Actions).


Requirements

Must-haves

  • Afgeronde hbo- of wo-opleiding in een relevante richting (zoals Informatica, Embedded Systems, Cybersecurity of vergelijkbaar).
  • Minimaal 3 jaar aantoonbare ervaring met CI/CD-tooling zoals GitHub CI, Gitea/GitHub Actions, Bitbucket of GitLab Actions.
  • Minimaal 2 jaar ervaring als DevOps-engineer met C++/CMake-projecten op AMD64 en ARM64 toolchains.
  • Ervaring met infrastructure-as-code (Ansible) en testautomatisering.
  • Ervaring met systeememulatie en testautomatisering met bijvoorbeeld Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, scripting en GitHub Actions.
  • Kennis van Linux-netwerken (TCP/IP, routering, firewalls).
  • Beschikbaar voor 36 uur per week en minimaal 3 dagen per week op locatie in Den Helder.
  • Voor deze opdracht is een veiligheidsscreening (VGB Niveau B) vereist. Daarom kunnen alleen kandidaten worden overwogen die in aanmerking komen voor deze screening, conform de richtlijnen van de Nederlandse overheid.

Pré’s

  • Ervaring met het opzetten of beheren van een air-gapped werkomgeving (zonder directe internettoegang).
  • Kennis van software provisioning voor embedded systemen (bijv. Yocto Linux, custom images, Docker).
  • Ervaring met Agile/Scrum-methodieken.
  • Ervaring met programmeertalen zoals C++, C#, Rust of Java.
  • Bekend met ontwikkelplatformen zoals NodeJS, React of Angular.
